Scream Team Athlete Glen Plake to be Inducted into the Skiing Hall of Fame

We’re proud to share the news that Scream Team athlete Glen Plake, the ski world's long time Mohawked Ambassador-of-the-Snow, has been named as an inductee into the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame!
Considered the pioneer of extreme skiing in America, Plake grew up on the slopes of Lake Tahoe and has since skied and shared his passion for the sport around the globe. His amazing ability and signature flamboyant look have made him one of the most recognizable skiers in the world.
"We're incredibly proud of Glen on this well deserved honor," said Jan Burkholder, President of Screamer Hats. "Glen may very well be the hardest working guy in the business. He's been enthusiastically sharing his passion for skiing, and for life, for a long time so it's perfectly fitting to see him recognized in this way. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Glen and his family."

With Plake’s Down Home Tour he intends to rev up energy and his share his true appreciation of the sport by hanging out and teaching locals how to ski. He will show up to resorts large and small unannounced in order to avoid distracting publicity for a more intimate experience.

"It's hard to describe the feeling," said Plake, of his Hall of Fame induction. "Skiing is my life's passion, so to be recognized this way, among the sports best-ever, is incredibly humbling. I'm grateful to Screamer, and to all of my sponsors, who throughout my career have played a role in allowing me to share skiing with so many people around the world. I'm looking forward to doing so for many more years to come.”
